Blog hits counter

How you wish that you could track the number of hits your blog had daily?

The Hits counter is inbuilt in wordpress.com hosted blogs,but is not available for Blogger/Blogspot blogs.

Do not be disheartened! Every problem has a solution!

Eager to have a Blog hits counter to monitor,track your blog hits? Then follow these steps..

1>Visit the website StatCounter.com and sign up for free account by providing your email id. A confirmation link will be immediately sent to your email id,click on the link provided and confirm your account.

2>Now login to your account in StatCounter.com and click on "My Projects"

3>Click on "Add New Project" and give the details of your blog/website like the name,url,tags etc and click next, choose the options that interests you from the options given there and keep clicking Next until you encounter the 'Finish' button

4>You will be taken to an area which has the HTML code of the counter for your blog.

5>Copy the HTML code and login to your blogger account

6>Go to 'Layout' section

7>Click on 'Add a Gadget' button and select HTML/Javascript option from the list available

8>Give a title of your choice like "My Blog Hits" or "Blog Stats" etc in the title option and then paste the code in the area below the title option!

9>Save and start blogging

10>Your blog counter starts ticking everytime anyone hits your page!

You can also view a detailed statistics of your blog like..

b>Visitor Path,where they came from,their country and IP address

c>Visitor length-how long they stayed
